This was the main approach of Bud Holland this year as well: inspiring. A huge range containing nothing but beautiful products; but where do you use white corn for? And what does Oca de Peru taste like?
Supermarkets are becoming increasingly interested in fresh figs. This product is showing up on more and more shop shelves. In the last few months of the year, there is a lot of availability from Brazil and Israel. In recent years, the interest in Peruvian black figs has, however, increased. An exclusive variety, of which, for the time being, there is only a limited supply.
At BUD Holland, the Chilean kiwi berry has now started. "The Chilean season runs in the months of February and March," says Stefan Warbout. "We also import the kiwi berries from France where the season lasts from August to October. Then there is still some available in the Netherlands in October and November but then it ends in Europe."
